Develops and conducts programs, courses and activities covering specified areas such as new employee o! rientation, on-the-job training, patient information systems, patient safety practices, and staff development. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in clinical specialty (Nursing, Respiratory Care, etc.,) required (15 hours toward Bachelor's degree acceptable, with completion of degree within 24 months of hire). Master's degree in area of specialization preferred. Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adult, adolescent, pediatric, neonate and/or geriatric patient as specialty assignment dictates. Thirty-six (36) months progressive training, nursing or clinical specialty experience; additional experience may be required in area of specialization. An ability and willingness to apply nursing knowledge and skills and maintain clinical competency required within assigned area(s). Teaching experience preferred. Instructional skills, knowledge of adult education, teaching techniques and methodology, and excellent communication skills r! equired. Demonstrated ability to perform duties and responsibi! lities promptly and consistently with minimum direct supervision in planning and organizing work required. Ability to objectively appraise and analyze the qualifications and performance of others as well as the ability to plan and direct their activities required. Ability to judge the appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances or problems. Demonstrated computer skills and abilities to enter, format, retrieve data for statistical purposes and presentations. Must have appropriate professional licensure for clinical instructors based on area of assignment (Registered Nurse license to work in TN, Certification/Registry for respiratory care/radiological technology, etc.). Life support certification (BLS Healthcare Provider Course; ACLS, BTLS, ABLS instructor status required based on area of assignment). PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Ability to transport and set-up audiovisual and teaching equipment. Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, lifting and pulling up to 10 pounds; ex! posure to infectious agents within clinical setting; wrist and digital dexterity.
