Counsel On Call, a recognized leader in the most rapidly growing segment of the legal profession, seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Corporate Controller for the Nashville offic! e located in Brentwood. This person will be primarily responsible for financial recording and reporting of the organization, payroll, financial activities (A/R, A/P, etc.), establishing financial policies, financial analysis and management, overseeing budgets, and treasury responsibilities.

The qualified candidate will have the following responsibilities: Oversee all financial reporting and accounting for the organization Manage the Finance team, presently 5 individuals Prepare timely financial statements and operational reporting Manage cash management and maintain relationship with bank, including: oversee ACH (direct deposit) and daily cash reporting Review all accounts payable before checks are printed and signed Work with the billing team on specialty and electronic invoicing and prepare LEDES files for clients and review receivables Work with TimeSolv Administrator on company timekeeping pro! cedures Assist Payroll Manager with the review of payroll tax ! reports Work with insurance agent on policies, renewals and certificate requests Provide financial information for RFPs when needed Manage year-end tax work and audit with outside CPA Practice and adhere to the Counsel On Call handbook and the mission and value statements Special projects as requested, including but not limited to client/sales analysis, gross margin analysis, and project analysis
The candidate will have the following qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Accounting is required At least six years of experience, including four years in public accounting (regionally or nationally) and two years in the private sector Two years of supervisory experience is required CPA Certification is required Superior Microsoft skills, general ledger software, ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
This is a full-time, permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week and is eligible for the corporate benefits plan. Total comp! ensation range: $80,000-$95,000. This position may require occasional travel.
