Description:
The Recovery Collector position is responsible for handling the charged off accounts. Duties include making collection calls on schedules, supporting 3rd party vendors and attorneys, providing assistance with debt sales, maintaining daily and monthly reports, negotiating settlements and short sales, updating credit reports, identifying possible recovery actions, and assisting in other assigned duties to the department.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Works collection schedules for in house payment arrangements. Reviews accounts to determine actions to be taken. Inbound and out bound calls handled on charged off accounts to include DDA, Heloc, Installment loans, credit cards, and real estate loans.
- Maintenance of accounts.
- Supports agencies and attorneys providing documentation, approving settlements, handling inquires, etc.
- Assists other assigned duties to the department and teamwork.
