Handles most complex overdue account balance that is fully or partially unpaid.
Acts as a resource to subordinate personnel to resolve problems with accounts.
Organizes and structures work assignments of billing staff to ensure all billing is handled appropriately.
Reviews work for accuracy to maximize cash flow.
Ensures staff compliance to Fair Debt Collector Practices Act.
Communicates with collection agencies, payors, government agencies and/or attorneys to resolve outstanding issues.
Generates and analyzes reports to identify problems and trends in revenue management and staff productivity.
Develops necessar! y corrective action to resolve deficiencies.
Responsi! ble for hiring, coaching, performance appraisal and disciplining of subordinate staff.
Supervises the activities of subordinate staff.
Provides direction and guidance in work assignments.
Ensures timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Typically supervises 4-8 primarily nonexempt employees.
Implements and ensures compliance with revenue management policies, procedures and best practices.
Ensures compliance to company policies and procedures as well as with federal, state, local and JCAHO regulations.
Responds to customer inquires regarding account status. Researches customer's accounts thoroughly and responds accordingly.
Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications
Education or experience equivalent to a four year college degree is required.
At least three years related experience is required with one year in a lead or supervisory capacity, is requ! ired.
