Description: Shoney's Restaurants is presently looking of Paralegal right now, this occupation will be delegated in Tennessee. You will maintain and protect Shoney’s assets by providing legal and administrative support to the Legal Department to maintain franchise agreements, vendor contracts, insurance policies, leases, corpor! ate entities, and intellectual property, and related correspondence, with a focus of assisting to minimize the company’s legal and financial risks. Experience with real estate leasing, corporate entity formation and management, and contract management is required. Our paralegal will: 1. Prepares and manages contracts, leases and insurance certificates.
2. Prepares and manages franchise contracts, transactions and transfers.
3. Forms and maintains legal entities.
4. Provide support to in-house counsel primarily in overall organization and filing.
5. Manages all administrative duties within the legal department including, but not limited to scheduling and/or attending internal and external meetings; preparing, scanning and/or copying correspondence and other documents and managing the department telephone calls.
6. Maintains and manages all legal files and corporate logs within the legal department. Includes creating files and logs in the established for! mat, filing all necessary documents, and locating any and all ! documents requested by the general counsel.
7. Interacts with outside law firms, agencies and attorneys on all assigned tasks.
8. Assists in reviewing vendor agreements.
9. Assists in management of all corporate minutes.
10. Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
11. Performs other essential duties as assigned.
Must have a paralegal certificate, paralegal associate degree or a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field. A m inimum of 5 or more years applicable paralegal experience in a law office or other corporate legal office. Please have experience in managing commercial law transactions. Preferred if you are bi lingual. This is for a person who has in house legal experience, experience with restaurants, franchise and/or chain operations.
