The Field Sales Leader- New Agency (FSL) is responsible for supporting new Exclusive Agents (EA) appointments during the first twelve months of their contr! act. The FSL offers consultation services, assists the new agency to reach immediate goals, provides support staff installation support, and helps to create and instill successful business practices in the new agency.
The FSL will be in the Agency Sales division which helps develop business policies, processes and programs as well as provides a broad range of support designed to help over 10,000 Allstate Agents and Financial Specialists achieve business objectives. This unit works directly with Allstate business owners and their staff to increase growth in the Financial Services and Property and Casualty areas. Using expertise in recruiting, coaching and training, and sales production, the Agency Sales unit is making a great impact at Allstate by providing the resources to grow sales, agent appointments and market share through in regions across the country!

Leadership
Thinks stra! tegically and aligns with Agency Process Specialist's goals wi! th the organization's strategic priorities.
Supports the development of EA/EFS partnerships in new agencies.
Leads change and innovation, process delivery, and technology utilization.
Development
Provides educational and developmental opportunities for new agencies.
Develops new producers in-agency over a defined time period to ensure a consistent experience.
Assesses development opportunities of producers and communicates status to appropriate regional leadership.
Consulting
Identifies opportunities for achieving increased sales growth.
Utilizes business tools to diagnose and assist with business development.
Maintains on-going lines of communication with new agencies.
Relationship Management
Builds and maintains relationship with internal clients and partners.
Conducts, coordinates and facilitates training classes, workshops and seminars as need is identifi! ed by consulting with agencies.
Coordinates utilization of resources of appropriate support departments.
Agent Staffing
Supports the identification, selection and appointment of new agents to meet strategic objectives.
Prospects for qualified candidates for the agent opportunity.
Meets or exceeds assigned agent appointment plan.
Administration
Performs administrative functions and utilizes technology to achieve maximum effectiveness.
Captures and compiles all information pertaining to agency visits via the prescribed management tool.
Maintains accurate and timely records.
Qualifications
Experience and Knowledge
5 years distribution leadership experience recommended
4 year college degree
Designated Supervisory Principal
Analytical and Technical Skills
Understanding of pricing, claims, local market planning, sales trend analysis, mark! eting data, and financial analysis.
Knowledge of agent contrac! ts, compliance requirements, Allstate policies and procedures.
Ability to assess market conditions, trends and indicators.
Non-technical Skills
Strong communication skills - Includes presentation, business writing, negotiation, motivation and relationship management.
Problem solving - Uses judgment by applying broad knowledge and experience when addressing complex issues.
Team building - Blends people into teams when needed; creates strong morale and spirit, defines success in terms of the whole team; creates a feeling of belonging in the team; etc.

Overnight travel
Required Licenses (including certifications)
Securities Licenses - Series 6, 26, 51, (63 in some states) or equivalent
P&C and Life and Health licenses as appropriate for the state
