General Job Description:
The primary responsibilities of this position include working independently and with in-house attorneys to manage the legal aspects of the sales and vendor contracting process, including:
1. Drafting, negotiating and finalizing:
a. sales and vendor contracts and contract amendments, b. non-disclosure agreements, and c. business associate agreements. 2. Reviewing and commenting upon RFPs (Requests for Production) and RFIs (Requests for Information). 3. Working with business, operational, sales and finance representatives to finalize agreements and assist with various legal and non-legal inquiries. 4. Conducting legal research projects.
Basic qualifications:
1. Applicants are required to have a law degree and an active license to practice law in TN. 2. Three to four years of experience, preferably in a corporate, transactional or healthcare regulatory practice. 3. Applicants with HIPAA and healthcare experience are preferred. 4. Strong drafting, communication and negotiating skills. 5. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers. 7. Detail oriented.
