Responsibilities:
The Salvage Coordinator will be primarily responsible for performing titling procedures in order to transfer ownership of damaged vehicles into the company name for the purpose of disposal according to company policy. Other essential job responsibilities will include the following:

  • Coordinate the moving of damaged vehicles into a company salvage pool facility.
  • Secure salvage certificate, including obtaining proper documentation, power of attorney and guarantee of title. Apply for salvage certificate from Department of Safety in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Send salvage certificate to salvage pool facility.
  • Diary information on specific vehicle for thirty days to allow adequate time for vehicle to sell.
  • Follow-up with salvage pool to receive a status on whether or not the vehicle has been sold.
  • Post sale deficit or proceed in claims system once the vehicle has sold.
  • Close specific file in the salvage database.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Six months to one year of clerical or general office experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Access.
  • Ability to collect, compile and organize facts, figures and/or other information in accordance with established company salvage procedures.
  • Requires the ability to perform basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to provide oral and written communication regarding specific salvage issues.
