Case Coordinator, Corporate Compliance

Location: Nashville Tennessee

Description: Corporate Main Campus is hiring Case Coordinator, Corporate Compliance right now, this occupation will be placed in Tennessee. Responsible for the initial review and assessment of new Ethics Line calls made to the externally managed 800 number and preparation of investigative files, which are then routed to the appropriate Case Manager. Performs intake of incoming Ethics and Compliance calls made directly to the department requiring an interview of the caller, including identifying and framing callers' concerns in terms of appropriate issue, relating to and assuring callers that their concerns will be investigated by appropriate personnel and routing to the appropriate Case Manager.
Tracks outstanding investigations to ensure timeliness! of completion and making appropriate entries in the electronic Ethics Line file as well as paper files. Upon receipt of completed investigations, conducts an initial review to ensure completeness and preparation of an executive style summary for review by the appropriate Case Manager and Vice President of Ethics and Compliance.

Generates reports concerning Ethics Line call activity and the number of calls received to include quarterly statistical reports sent to Division level Ethics and Compliance Officers. Regularly coordinates with facility level Ethics and Compliance Officers, management and other investigators regarding the status of investigations.

Responsible for preparation of Ethics Line files when cases have been approved and closed to include preparing files for shipment to offsite storage through the electronic files management system. Researches, maintains and tracks cases identified by the legal department as being required to be indefinitel! y held due to litigation, which includes recalling files from storage. Regularly coordinates with the legal department to ensure copies of electronic and hard copy files are made available to the appropriate attorneys.

Typing and other administrative tasks to be performed when appropriate.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Reviewing investigations, assessing and preparing executive summaries.

Researching, tracking and maintaining legal cases.

Tracking outstanding investigations, filing, completing and making appropriate entries in the electronic and paper Ethics Line files.

Preparing and shipping files, statistical reports, and intake of Ethics and Compliance calls directly to the department.

Other duties as assigned

Decisions:
On a daily basis the Case Coordinator reviews new Ethics Line calls and determines which Case Manager and investigator is the appropriate! individual to handle the matter. Case Managers have assigned areas of ! responsibility and each facility has an Ethics and Compliance Officer who generally conducts investigations based upon instructions and guidance from the appropriate Case Manager. In many cases, such as Shared Services and Parallon, an employee may work at a facility; however, is employed by Shared Services or Parallon. By not accurately identifying the appropriate employer and assigning to the wrong Case Manager, the investigation of the issue(s) can be unnecessarily delayed.

The Case Coordinator is regularly asked by the legal department to research the Ethics Line electronic files to identify cases associated with ongoing litigation. This involves searching by name, facility identification numbers and other general searches using key words. Failure to thoroughly and accurately search could negative impact the ability of the legal department to defend the company in a wide variety of legal claims.

Qualifications

Education:
High school! diploma required

Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:
Requires 1+ year relevant work experience

Other:
Able to type 50 wpm, familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and general base systems. Must be detail oriented and possess strong writing skills. Strong oral communications skills are a must.

Must be able to work with stress related to tight deadlines and be able to sit for prolonged periods utilizing various computer programs. This job is a largely sedentary role operating in a typical office setting, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers and phones requiring speaking, hearing and fine motor dexterity. There is limited overtime. Must be able to lift file boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
