Provides administrative support to Special Assets Loan Officers. To include extensive client communication and follow-up to obtain information or gather payments, file maintenance, providing information ne! cessary for loan modifications, renewals, foreclosures, reporting or the marketing and sale of OREO. Organizing data on troubled loans for management and audit review. Preparation, organizing and scheduling of closings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Acts as liaison between bank officers, attorneys, and clients. Helps document and gather information for loan renewals/modifications, foreclosure/collection actions and OREO property. Drafts and mails out demand and default letters as requested, and works with Special Assets Officers to ensure registered letters are mailed out in a timely manner and return receipts are properly documented
  • Sets appointments and keeps department members organized to meet deadlines for collection of past dues, closings, meeting attendance, and information reports for management
  • Works with customers, credit department, and work out officers to! obtain necessary credit information. Assists in providing inf! ormation for analysis, preparing analysis and loan file documentation
  • Prepares and maintains credit files, workout files and OREO files. Works to eliminate loan file exceptions, and clearing of documentation exceptions on loans. Monitors insurance coverage on collateral and calls customers to document coverage. Reports on the status of real estate taxes; monitors accounts in the legal process to ensure deadlines are met
  • Assists in preparation of various reports such as Credit Action Plans, Problem Loan Spreadsheet, Appraisal Requests, Loan Status Change Forms, and Impairment Forms etc.
  • Works with Loan Closing, Loan Servicing and outside council by providing and gathering data for closings and collection actions. Researches loan postings, amounts due, payoff amounts, loan documents, loan exceptions and insurance information.
  • Works with branch personnel to set up appropriate accounts and repair of office equipment, supply ordering, expense ! reporting

Become knowledgeable regarding the department's internal controls as outlined in the policies and procedures and comply with all control requirements.

COMPLIANCE
Ability to comprehend and adhere to Federal and State banking regulations, Company policies and procedures, and successfully participate in regulatory and Company training requirements via multiple and variable delivery methods.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent co! mbination of education and experience
  • One to two years custome! r service experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of branch banking and operations software applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention-to-detail and ability to effectively prioritize and follow- up in a timely manner required
