The Tennessee General Assembly is actively seeking applicants for the full-time position of Legislative Attorney, Office of Legal Services. Incumbents perform legal research and prepare legal memoranda; summarize proposed legislation and statutory law; draft a wide variety of documents including resolutions, bills, amendments and motions at the request of the Members of the House of Representatives and the Senate; render legal opinions and provide legal advice; staff legislative committees; and perform other legal or legislative services as requested.Compensation determined by an evaluation of education and experience.APPLICANTS SHOULD SUBMIT A RESUME, REFERENCES, SALARY REQUIREMENTS, PROOF OF LICENSURE AND A WRITING SAMPLE TO sandra.whitmore@capitol.tn.gov.
