Human Resource Manager

Location: Brentwood, Tennessee

Cogent HMG is currently seeking to hire an experienced Human Resource Manager to join the team at our corporate office team in Brentwood, TN.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.

Performs benefits administration and is the liaison to the Third Party Benefits Administrator to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.

Responsible for 401K Plan enrollment notification and working with vendor on service needs Plan updates and 5500 preparation.

Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Maintain Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.

Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.

Process all leave requests in accordance with federal and state laws.

Maintains on-boarding workflow via company intranet.

Process new hire files: paperwork reconciliation, data entry into applicable systems, benefit enrollment notification.

Process terminations: contract reconciliation if applicable, data entry into applicable systems, compile and send exit letter.

Process status, title and salary changes in applicable systems.

I-9 maintenance and administration.

Serves as the liaison to the immigration attorney on immigration matters and documentation.

Maintain list, notify employee and collect benefit premiums due from employees on leave.

Develops and maintains EEOC reporting, affirmative action program, if applicable, and other records, reports and logs.

Administers compensation program; performs job analysis; writes job descriptions, evaluates positions.

Reports HR metrics and accomplishments monthly.

Maintains appropriate records and files for the department.

Qualifications and Skills:
Considerable knowledge of Human Resource practices.

A bachelor’s degree and five (5) to eight (8) years HR experience preferred.

Effective oral and written communications skills.

Service mentality.

Excellent interpersonal skills

Proficient in Word, Power Point and Excel.

ADP experience a plus

Experience working with employee benefits.
