Company: Large International Food Manufacturer Position: Production Supervisor Shift: Needs to be open to shift Education: Degree Required; Technical Degree preferred Experience: 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment; Strong leadership experience required; Continuous Improvement experience required. Union experience preferred. Salary: $55-65k Base plus OT and Bonus Relocation: Some Relocation Assistance Available
Description:
Leads team members to identify, manage, and execute the plants process improvement opportunities. Manages production staff to attain production and quality goals. Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Ensures production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team oriented work force in order to improve business results.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead team members to identify, manage, and execute the plants process improvement opportunities.
- Manage production staff to attain production and quality goals.
- Identify problems or bottlenecks in production and processes and resolve issues.
- Ensure production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules.
- Support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service.
- Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team oriented work force in order to improve business results.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, food science or related field or equivalent job experience.
- 3+ years production processing, maintenance or engineering experience.
- 2+ years supervisory experience required - union environment preferred.
- Ability to work all shifts and weekends.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and application of TPM methodologies preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA and USDA policies and procedures preferred.
- SAP experience
