Clinical Research Assistant - Phone Screening & Scheduling


 

In this Clinical Research Assistant - Patient Screener & Scheduler role, your primary focus will be Screening and Scheduling new patients for our health study trials. The majority of your time will be spent calling and prescreening leads (i.e., participants/patients who have signed-up, not cold calling) for study entry criteria, scheduling new screening appointments, arranging UBER/LYFT transportation for participants, and consistently reminding scheduled participants to ensure they show up on time. You will also help track, and invoice associated transportation and related study expenses.

This is an entry level clinical research position that can provide opportunity for professional growth, with the potential to evolve into a Clinical Research Coordinator and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contact study leads to pre-screen, schedule screening appointments, and provide key study information.
  • Follow up with participants to ensure they are well-informed and reminded about their scheduled appointments. Arrange UBER/LYFT transportation for scheduled participant appointments and track and invoice associated transportation expenses.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of leads, appointments, and participant details.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the Patient Outreach Director to develop strategies for increasing participant engagement and retention.
  • Assist in the coordination of project expenses, invoicing, and tracking financial records.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of social media campaigns to expand our network.

Qualifications:

  • Prior Medical Office experience Required!
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through with tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role, particularly involving telephone communication, prescreening leads, customer interaction, and sales experience is highly desirable.
  • Tenacious attitude towards following up and ensuring participant engagement.
  • Enjoys talking to potential study participants about their health and the study programs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
