The Ranch is seeking a qualified! and experienced

Primary Therapist

to work w! ith male clients at our amazing Residential facility.

The Ranch offers to eligible employees medical, dental, vision and life insurance after 30 days; as well as 401k options after 90 days of employment. The Ranch has 4 events annually for staff and family members . As part of the Ranch benefits we offer two weeks paid vacation and six sick days annually as well as 6 paid holidays.

Responsibilities:
Provides therapy services for individuals assigned to caseload including:

Provides therapy services based in the application of integrative treatment modalities of psychiatric and/or addictive disorders

Demonstrates an understanding of the medical and physiological aspects of eating disorders, as well as relevant aspects of the nutrition/dietetics and weight management for male clients

Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the principles and traditions of 12 Step recovery and the application of step work and specific psy! cho education with a focus on chemical dependency addiction, eating disorders, sexual addiction and other addictive disorders and recovery

Treatment plan development and revision, including recommendations for the most appropriate continuing care plan, throughout the continuum of care, in accordance with established policies and procedures, job description, and scope of licensure/professional practice

Demonstrates ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a manner that assists the team in achieving positive results. Collaboratively develops and updates an individualized treatment plan with the client that includes targeted discharge date and plan.

Collaborates effectively with the eating disorder program medical consultant, dietitian consultant, the Ranch nutritionist and dietician, the sexual addiction consultant and the program residential assistants when an assigned client is being assessed for or has been diagnosed with a! n eating disorder and/or sexual addiction

collaborate with the! continuing care coordinator and identifies all relevant community sources affecting care and treatment of the client (e.g. family, attorney, support system, case manager, etc) and includes appropriate conjoint therapy plans, as well as a thorough continuing care plan

With written client permission, provides updates and referral sources on client progress

Coordinates with the Case Manager to participate in the formulation of a comprehensive discharge plan to ensure a seamless community reintegration and/or when the transfer to another level of treatment indicated

Maintains appointed continuous caseload of actively engaged individuals

Collaborates with clients, families, treatment team members, referral sources, managed care organizations, etc. to develop individualized plans of care for clients and their families. Includes conjoint therapy

Practices in a manner that is consistent with legal and ethical standards as delineated by ! the organization, licensure board standards and local, state and federal law

Documents in accordance with content requirements, clinical assessments and care in a comprehensive, clinically pertinent and complete manner, including meeting timeframes.

Is responsive and assimilates performance feedback as directed by management personnel

Demonstrates self-paced performance and adjusting priorities as needed

Demonstrates knowledge of the interface between clinical, utilization review and financial processes

Professionally and ethically relates clients and peers at all times

participates in weekly clinical staff meetings and administrative meetings

participates in mandatory training and provides documentation of annual clinical trainings completed as a part of clinical licensure requirements

Cross trains and supports other departments and employees as needed or requested by supervisor

Self-directed ! to provide support to colleagues as workflow allows

Performs o! ther duties as assigned, including the monitoring and inspecting of the residential facility and effectively represents the Ranch with a variety of external customers

Qualifications:
General Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Ability to demonstrate understanding of a variety of models and theories of addiction, mental illness and related issues

Knowledge of philosophies, practices, policies and outcomes of models of treatment, recovery, relapse prevention and continuing care for dually diagnosed populations

Understanding of diagnostic criteria for dual conditions and the ability to conceptualize modalities and placement criteria within the continuum of care

Ability to demonstrate an understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into practice setting

Demonstrates good orga! nizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload and to work independently

Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills

Education/Experience

Addiction credentialed/eligible with five years experience or has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related field and three years of experience or has a Master’s degree or a Ph.D. in the stated fields of practice and one year of experience.
