Assist members with all types of products and services, in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RE! SPONSIBILITIES
1. Interviews loan applicants, collects and enters loan information, orders credit reports
2. Obtains loan approval from branch management or alternative lending department as appropriate
3. Recommends and outlines terms of loan. Informs prospective borrowers of loan commitments
4. Notify applicants of loan decision. Correspond with applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
5. Releases funds to escrow holder upon loan approval
6. Assist members with all aspects of opening and maintaining accounts.
7. Promotes and explains other financial institution services such as IRAs, certificates of deposits, credit cards, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks and money orders.
8. Answers telephones and assists customers with routine inquiries regarding payoffs, changes of owner, note modifications, beneficiaries and other loan details.
9. Responsible for cross-selling payment and collateral prot! ection products in addition to all credit union products and s! ervices including referrals to Members’ First Financial Services Inc. (CUSO)
10. Assist on teller row as needed
11. All other duties as assigned
GUIDELINES FOR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, INTERPERSONAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:Education:
Some College Preferred
Knowledge of Credit Union Policies and Operations
Thorough knowledge of Credit Union Products and Services
Experience:
3-5 years experience in a financial institution/ lending
Previous customer service experience in a sales type environment
Interpersonal Skills & Abilities
Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as good selling skills
Good organizational and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment
Contacts:
Internal within the credit union
External with car dealers, insurance agents, attorneys, credit bureaus and members
Hours and Working Conditions: Regular Hours/Saturday Hours
Office Environment
