We are currently seeking to fulfill full-time Acute Care Hospital Appeals Analyst positions for our Healthcare Appeals team in our Nashville, Tennessee office. Qualified individuals with a minimum 2-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry recovering denied or underpaid insurance claims.
We are looking for Applicants should possess the following:
- Superior verbal, written, customer service, and analytical skills
- Expertise in reimbursement solutions with a strong emphasis in liability claims
- Strong negotiating skills with problem recognition and resolution skills
- Ability to effectively! drive several tasks/roles at any given point
- Ensures! legal compliance by following guidelines, contracts, regulations, and the company's business plan
- Maintains quality service by following corporate provider and payer service practices and protocols.
- Expertise in liability and workers compensation is a plus
- Ability to maneuver through multiple facility patient accounting systems
- Ability to resolve claims by reviewing supporting documentation; calculating benefits due; initiating payment or composing denial letters; guiding resolution of non-routine claims; auditing claims to ensure appropriate payment.
- Prepares reports by securing analytical information through to a finished product
- Analyze claims to determine validity of denial/recovery options
- Draft detailed & convincing correspondence to effect reimbursement
- Develop relationships with insurance carriers, patients, attorneys, and employers to facilitate reimbursement
- Network management contract analysis experience
- Conduct research when necessary to build a strong reimbursement argument
- Research/Review clinical policies, contracts, and other media to aide in claims recovery.
- Work individually and within a team to identify trends from client inventories and formulate recovery resolution
- Clearly and concisely document all actions taken to resolution within a claims recovery system
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, Access, provider and payer operating systems a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferable
- Familiarity with working with A/R related software support systems
- AHIMA or AAPC certification is a plus, although not required
- Previous experience within revenue cycle operations
