General Description Provides Legal support for department attorneys.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drafting of legal documents, correspondence, memos, etc.
- Drafting various pleadings and incorporation of documents
- Trial preparation to include organizing discovery documents, preparing exhibits, bates labeling, etc.
- Organization of client files
- Filing and recording documents with the appropriate offices/courts
- Maintaining client documents emails in client workspaces
- Preparation of case notebooks
- Preparing deposition summaries
- Ability to utilize computer programs designed for case management
Must be skilled in MsWord, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Summation, Sanction, EScanIt, CaseMap/TimeMap/TextMap, Relativity and Clearwell a plus. Must have Excellent writing and communication skills and have the ability to interact with clients, court officials, vendors and work in a team environment. Three to five years legal secretarial experience.
