Location: Knoxville Tennessee
Description: Wilson & Associates, PLLC is in need of Attorney right now, this job will be placed in Tennessee. For complete informations about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. Extensive document review;
Preparation and review of claims, motions for relief, various notices, and general responses;
Preparation/drafting of responsive pleadings, objections, and various motions;
Covering hearings in Bankruptcy Court ;
Covering hearings in Adversary Proceedings, and drafting answers, pre-trial motions (including dispositive motions), general responsive pleadings, as well as any necessary briefs. This also entails knowledge of and experience with the process for discovery;
Covering default hearings for the Litigation Department;
Covering Forcible Entry and Detainer hearings for the Ev! ictions Department;
Must be willing to travel some fo! r hearing coverage; and
Familiarity or experience with the mortgage industry or the default mortgage servicing industry a plus.
Knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, the Federal Rules of Evidence, the U.C.C. (Articles 3 and 9), TN Real Property law, and Local Rules, as well as local practice and custom for the various Bankruptcy Courts, General Sessions Courts, Chancery Courts, and Circuit Courts of East Tennessee;
Juris Doctorate degree & TN law license required.
Excellent writing and organizational skills required.
