Legal Affairs Representatives are responsible for gathering information regarding delinquent accounts and making sound decisions on possible options for solutions for existing customers. S/he is responsible for working a daily sequence of accounts with the greatest effort to reduce delinquency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Diligent at thoroughly examining accounts and providing sound decisions on information obtained.
Reviews files and collection history to determine best course of action.
Prepares documents and packages for attorneys.
Contacts attorneys, customers, ! retail, and collection staff.
Exhibits a working know! ledge of legal procedures surrounding foreclosures and repossessions.
Maintains solid follow-up and customer service skills.
Contributes creative ideas on reducing legal issues.
Learns the processes and procedures of the department as well as outside venues accurately.
Capable of dealing with changes that can and will occur periodically.
Ability to learn state specific laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required, College a plus.
Basic computer skills with ability to type at least 25 wpm.
Ability to communicat! e effectively and efficiently via phone, email and person to person.
Capable of gathering facts accurately, analyze causes, evaluate alternate solutions and arrive at sound conclusions on action to be taken.
Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities.
Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
