The Bureau of TennCare is seeking an Appeals Litigation Director in the TennCare Eligibility Appeals organization within the Di! vision of Member Services. The Appeals Litigation Director will lead a twenty person team of attorneys and legal assistants in the process of representing the Bureau in all administrative and judicial review actions stemming from a TennCare or CoverKids eligibility appeal. The Appeals Litigation Director will lead, supervise, and advise the litigating attorneys. This position will oversee the production of discovery documents and will be responsible for filing any petitions of reconsideration of Final Orders as appropriate. This position will work closely with other Directors within the eligibility appeals the Office of General Counsel in developing legal strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Juris Doctor Minimum of four years management/supervision experience in either state government, healthcare or eligibility related field License to practice law in Tennessee Ability to foster and maintain cohesive working relationships Ability to adapt to ! changing priorities and deadlines Ability to exercise sound ju! dgment Strong organizational skills necessary, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage workload to meet specific timeframes and deadlines Excellent writing and communication skills required
