Job Summary
Responds to issues associated with the mediation and arbitration function, serves as a resource for Nissan staff regarding state lemon laws. Resolves lemon law claims including third party contacts. Negotiates issues with the consumer and consumer agencies including scheduling appointments, investigating issues, and documenting concerns. Make dealer visits to assigned dealership and establish a positive working relationship with assigned dealership.

Job Functions
The following job function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. The job function statements reflect expectations of the fully trained, proficient incumbent who meets all performance criteria. Interfaces with dealers! hip, field personnel, legal counsel, and engineering departmen! ts regarding conflict resolution. Processes incoming case information from consumers, dealerships, attorneys, and regulatory agencies in reference to alleged Lemon Law and Breach of Warranty issues. Performs initial evaluation and either addresses the issue or forwards to appropriate personnel. Ensures regional personnel have the appropriate documentation required to effect title transfer prior to the specified date. Updates Consumer Buyback database. Monitors regional and remarketing activity associated with the outstanding buyback inventory in order to effect timely disposition of repurchased vehicles. Reviews Final repair attempt demands and arranges for inspections and / or repairs within the required time frames. Processes legal requests regarding repurchases handled outside the Dispute Resolution Team. Assists Nissan staff regarding Lemon Laws, Better Business Bureau, repurchase and vehicle tradeout issues. Reviews and resolves issues following lawful guidelines. Sche! dules appointments between dealers, customers, and factory representative regarding issue resolution and arbitration avoidance. Develops a strong communication and working relationship with assigned dealerships in an effort to improve customer handling process. Develop early warning system with the region and assigned dealerships to identify at risk customers so that action can be taken before the customers issue is escalated. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

Minimum Qualifications Basic computer systems knowledge Proven customer interaction skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Mastery of the inbound and follow-up functions. Prior experience in re-titling vehicles and knowledge of various financial institutions operating procedures in reference to both automotive leases and sales agreements. Must be able to work independently without direct supervision while delivering r! esults.

Experience
One year directly related experience at! a professional level preferred.

Education
Bachelor’s degree. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.

Computer Skills
Basic knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, etc. to output routine products with similar, non-creative formats.
